This image takes me back to being a little girl, when afternoons felt wonderfully long and we had the freedom to just wander, play and let our imaginations take over.
My sister and I would sometimes tag along with my dad when he visited a farm owned by family friends. Scattered around one of the fields were old cars and trucks that, to our parents they were probably nothing particularly special. To us, they were irresistible. We’d climb inside, sort out the very important matter of who got to be the driver, and then we were off. We could be whoever we wanted to be and go wherever we wanted to go all without ever leaving that field.
That’s what I see when I look at this photograph. The worn old truck, the pumpkins and those beautiful autumn shades bring back that feeling of childhood when something so simple could become an entire world.
Perhaps that’s why Loaded with Thanks feels so right for our 2026 Thanksgiving collection. Gratitude isn’t always about the big moments. Sometimes it’s being thankful for those lovely little memories we didn’t even realize we were making at the time.
